Added some widgets to the sidebar. Twitter Tools to list the last three tweets and to auto-post a blog entry once a week with a digest of the week’s twitterings. Will also generate a tweet when a new blog entry is posted.
Also added Amazon Showcase to share info on the books that I am currently reading and have recently read.
I decided it was time for a new look. Nothing drastic or flashy, just a change. I found a theme that I liked and started making some tweaks. The most noticeable is the picture in the header. A panorama of the pits and garage at Mid-Ohio. Also had to make the theme widget friendly.
Trying out the WordPress iPhone app. So far, so good and it’s qucker than logging in through Safari.
Posting this from the mall using my new iPhone. Cool, eh?
Maria is on the web. She finally got tired of the woeful IT situation at work, so we setup her own site for interfacing with her students. Rapidweaver made is super simple.
I think I’ve found theme that I like for both the main site and the blog. They are at least settled enough that I can start adding a bit of content.
Progressing along the learning curve on RapidWeaver and WordPress. Designing the site on the fly while grasping for the vision of content.
It took me an hour last night to figure out why I didn’t have Quicktags in the WordPress editor. I was using Safari and, prior to 2.0.4, there was a bug related to Quicktags. The Safari bug is now fixed, but the WordPress PHP code is just now being patched. The solution is here.
There has to be a post in a category in order for the category to be displayed.
